About · Thalyta Lopes

Designing clarity for complex products.

Since college, I've been drawn to research and to turning complex problems into simple, well-crafted interactions. I spent a couple of years as an undergraduate research student focused on cognition and usability, running interviews and usability tests.

I started freelancing in 2019, working with a range of product teams to build human-centered products and services. In 2020 I did an exchange at California State University studying Communication, Design and Innovation, which pushed me further into design thinking, project leadership and business strategy. That mix of research and hands-on craft is still how I work today.

At Mercado Livre, I design internal logistics products used across LATAM, leading initiatives from problem framing to delivery and staying close to what happens after launch. My approach combines systems thinking and user research to turn ambiguous operational challenges into high-value product decisions.
